Taranaki Falls Hike

This is 2 hour easy loop track was amazong highly recommend it,

Top 3 hightlights were

  1. Seeing the waterfall and walking behind it absoultely magic.
  2. The scenery form lush closed in forest following a stream to open alpine terrain.
  3. That it was a loop track diffeent scenery each way.

How do i get to the start of the hike?

Drive to the end of “Ngauruhoe Place” (carpark and start of hike is at the end of this street) . Note my gps didn’t know this address but putting in “Taranaki falls carpark ” is the option that worked for me took me straight to Ngauruhoe place.

The road your looking for is the next road after the Chateau the big flash hotel.

One of my top five water fall walks i think because i could walk behind the waterfall made it so much fun. If your in the whakapapa area you should definately give this hike a go.
